Anonymous asked: Do you think that you have to love yourself before you find true love? Sometimes it feels like having someone love you will fill a void, but I'm not sure this is healthy.
Let it be known that I also have not quite figured this out yet so my answer shouldn’t be taken into consideration. And with that being said, I don’t think so. I don’t know how one can love deeply for another when hardly caring for their own well being, I don’t know how one can accept love when they hardly know what that is, let alone to themselves. I think we’re all born with love, yet slowly but surely as we grow older, that love is tarnished and destroyed by a number of things, whether it’s society or perhaps your family or bad names thrown at you. I don’t know how I feel about it, truth be told. You can love others without loving yourself. But to find true love without loving yourself? I’m not sure.
